Pink Eastern Red Columbine - Aquilegia canadensis 'Pink Lanterns'

The pretty-in-pink version of the typically red wild columbine, this compact plant with its delicate stems and sprays of tubular flowers makes a great addition to a pathway or border in your yard. The flowers go to seed quickly, but the leaves left behind provide their own lacy, fern-like interest. It isn't hard to imagine that fairies are afoot with these flowers around, acting as miniature chandelier-like street lamps lighting the way through the wilds of your magical garden.
